Art and fashion have a longstanding affair.
That is why art was always meant to play a part in PK’s boutique.
In past years , the store has featured abstract paintings of acrylic in colours of the collection, Paris watercolours, and a large Pop Art work at the entrance.
For this exhibition, art pieces throughout the boutique will juxtapose the 2022 Fall/Winter Collections, illustrating the art in fashion and inspiring our customers wardrobes for the season.
An artist and painter, originally from Toronto and now currently living in Montreal.

“Looking back over the last thirty years I can divide my work into three groups:
The first period, the 1990’s, consisted largely of urban landscapes, human structures, like buildings, automobiles or furniture that were put in a landscape. These were mostly painted in oil on wood.
The second period started in the 200’s and I started to work in a more abstract way. I was looking to find visual metaphors for things that you don’t exactly see in front of you. Stuff like memories, feelings and sounds. This work involved some printmaking techniques to find rhythm and texture with evocative imagery.
The third period was brought about by the pandemic. I got out of the studio and engaged myself in long walks. I had a need to reconnect with the world around me so I kept a sketch journal of my activities. Generally these are smaller watercolours. The pandemic for me was symbolized by blue colour and most of the recent work is executed in a blue tonal range. I am still continuing with the journal and watercolours.”
