Istanbul 2014. Matthew Kudelka always photographs people. They and their environment are in a dance with each other. He rarely photographs a completely still scene. He wants people to feel he has captured an instant in an unfolding story. For him, photography is about grabbing apotheotic moments out of the air. He views what he does as urban sociology. His goal is to present people and places as honestly and as accurately as he can.
